The planes were flying busily <br /> As I ate lunch at the airport. <br /> It seems to be so strange <br /> That you're not up in the sport. <br /> <br /> This was a perfect sunny day <br /> To be sailing across the sky. <br /> We used to soar through the air <br /> And loved the freedom found on high. <br /> <br /> I sit and look at your chair <br /> And remember the joys we shared. <br /> Our enjoyment was better <br /> Because you really cared. <br /> <br /> We flew through sun and rain <br /> When necessity or pleasure called. <br /> I navigated while you flew <br /> And nothing ever stalled. <br /> <br /> In memory I see you <br /> With love in your eyes and a smile. <br /> Some day I'll meet you <br /> But it may be a little while.<br /><br />Frances E.
