Grandma's Rose One day when I was searching <br /> Through my childhood souvenirs, <br /> I found a tiny little seed <br /> From my Grandma so dear. <br /> <br /> She gave it to me long ago, <br /> When I was only five. <br /> She said "Now, Kassy, keep this <br /> As long as I'm alive". <br /> <br /> "When the angels come to call <br /> And to Heaven I must go, <br /> Plant this tiny little seed, <br /> And a lovely flower will grow." <br /> <br /> Many years have come and gone, <br /> Since Grandma went away, <br /> But when I found that little seed, <br /> I planted it that day. <br /> <br /> Now as I sit and reminisce, <br /> That lovely flower still grows, <br /> Underneath my widow sill, <br /> I call it, "Grandma's Rose."<br /><br />Kathleen Lowery<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/click-here-to-listen-to-grandma-s-rose/
