We snow leopards jump along mountains wide, <br />Grip rocks with front paws to climb the rough side. <br />Muscular bodies and long tail <br />Help keep our balance so climbing won't fail. <br />Huge lungs and strong chests <br />Help us breathe easily climbing mountains' crests. <br />Heavily padded front paws <br />Protect us in climbing, and we use our claws. <br />Hunters try to kill me for my layered, winter fur. <br />When my friend attacks flocks, farmers shoot at her. <br />Protect my fellow leopards by giving them a place, <br />A special habitat with food and living space.<br /><br />Mary Anne Simon<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/saving-snow-leopards/
