I walk in the stillness of the night, <br />Not a breeze to toss my hair, <br />No coolness on my shoulders bare. <br />Just the weight of the heat, <br />The weight of my heart. The stars my path to follow, <br />The moon by guiding light, <br />I walk with no companion, <br />This lonely, sultry night. <br />Alone with my thoughts. My heart beat quickens, as a stranger slowly approaches, <br />I know him not, yet, <br />the look about his face is familiar. <br />I see myself in this strangers face. Aware of each other, a smile exchanged. <br />We continue our separate ways.
