Revenge- the feeling from an angered heart! <br />That gushes like a fountain from the start, <br />Or hits the foe like an arrow or dart, <br />From which the embittered mind cannot part. <br /> <br />The victim’s mind seeks to avenge the crime <br />Done by the perpetrator with more time; <br />A strong emotion that makes the mind work <br />To lift the ‘Fish off water like a Stork.’ <br /> <br />The wound in the victim’s heart is so great; <br />It craves for justice with every heart-beat! <br />And the fire of revenge gets smothered when, <br />One gets over his high-strung feeling, then! <br /> <br />Revenge isn’t a good thing to be nurtured; <br />One’s personality is too much fractured. <br /> <br /> 3-1-2000<br /><br />Dr John Celes<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/sonnet-revenge/
