I lay on your bench today looking up at the endless blue sky. <br />Not a cloud in sight, I couldn't pretend that you were drifting by. <br />No rainbow appeared, like early one dawn, sent to remind me I wasn't alone. <br />No ladybug flew down and landed on me to let me know you were watching. <br />I needed a sign, my faith is so weak, I think I listen but I can't <br />hear God speak. <br />I was gazing blankly, lost in my grief, when I heard a bird call out. <br />Soaring above me, just riding the drafts, was a beautiful hawk, <br />strong and graceful and free. <br />There was my sign, but I had to look up before I could see.<br /><br />Bobbi Lee<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-sign-from-bonnie/
