Suicide <br /> <br />Slit my throat, <br />Slit my arms, <br />Stab that knife in both of my palms, <br /> <br />Get me out I want to go, <br />The pain in my eyes never seems to show, <br />Mom and Dad just don’t see, <br />What she really meant to me, <br />My love for her will always be, <br /> <br />As the blood pours away from my lifeless heart, <br />I think of her name and carve it deep, a work of art, <br />I lie there and numb the pain, <br />My love for her is driving me insane… <br /> <br />December 2004 <br /> <br />Suicide (Part 2) <br /> <br />The scars will heal but the pain stays strong, <br />I never thought my love for her would go on this long, <br />But it has and the cuts get even deeper, <br />And my self esteem keeps falling steeper, <br /> <br />I’ve never been hit by love so hard, <br />If only she would just send me a card… <br />Or a text, or a call, <br />To tell me what we’ve got is worth it all, <br /> <br />But the card never came but my time did, <br />And it hurts because people think I’m just a kid, <br />My love for her was more than real, <br />This is why I couldn’t take the ordeal, <br /> <br />So I slit my throat, <br />Slit my arms, <br />And stabbed that knife in both of my palms, <br /> <br />Withering slowly; waiting to die, <br />I don’t want to live if I have to live a lie, <br />Then it happened, just like that, I slipped away, <br />Never to see the light of another agonising day… <br /> <br />January 2005<br /><br />James Lee Watts<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/suicide-continued/
