S
It was a land of Srail and Steop,
The young Srails were always raging
Raging all night against the Steops.
The Srails were lead by Dnuoh Yrteop
And the Steops by Hcilrhen Trebreh.
And it came to pass that near the end
Of a fearful winter that Dnuoh attacked
With his forces from Dnalgne.
J
Not a word was spoken as the enemy attacked
The cowards fled to Teop Cemetry
Where shelters were in Place for them.
For they could hide in an Ainamoge
and cower till they were free
S
With words and vile threats they came
Wave after wave, in torrents and in groups,
The Steops fought back until finally
There were only the lonely ones
Fighting back, defending Dnalgne.
J
Retnuhmeop Einelem was the overseer of Snadrice
She was in the seat of power
The rebels laughed in her face when she spoke
For they scorned her by the hour
Her words of warning fell on hollow ears
And soon the battle reunited
For Dnalgne regrouped his followers
And the evidence was clear, and sighted.
S
And being betrayed by the overseer
The Steops were overrun by the ones
Who were filled with hatred
And vile notions of right and wrong. So sadly,
The Steops searched the heavens
For a new place to live and thrive.

To be Continued…….

From The Pendulum Swings
Collection of
Sandra Osborne and Janice M.
