There is no politics or science
On the field of battle
There is no fight or
Black or white on the front
The boys far away
Don’t debate, they only serve
The country they love
Not fully knowing the homeward
Battles,
Faded pictures of family
Loved ones, not knowing
Their privet pain always
Thinking what would
Happen if I die? What will
They all think?
Hero? Or just gone?
Little children never to see
There fathers eyes,
All for the sake of liberty
We shed blood in the name
Of that liberty
People die each day supporting it
Little do we know the pain
Inside there hearts
We only know our stand
We stand united
But divided at the same time
Not knowing where
We should be as Americans
As America comes up on
The four-year anniversary
What do we ponder about
America and the politics of it?
Four years ago Sunday
Is the 9-11 Anniversary
When America bannered together
And there were no
Republicans and democrats
There were no
Bush supporters and
Non-bush supporters
We were bannered together
As Americans
In the field of battle
Against evil
There is no politics
And science
Just liberty
Just America

Missy Lynn

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/battlefield-4/
