I would travel to the places <br />that haven’t changed with the <br />scars (passage) of time, <br />if I could see with clarity <br />the mind’s beyond. <br /> <br />There are places that I remember <br />and times that haven’t changed <br />in my minds eye, but <br />I know I have not yet found <br />Reason to travel back of beyond. <br /> <br />But when I do venture through the folds of time <br />I see only what I easy find <br />Of salty cuffs and silent phones; <br />Measured silences and structured lones <br /> <br />Perhaps what is left is a memory <br />Of something that was, but not meant to be <br />and I wipe my mind's window eye <br />as gray trifle time rushes me by. <br /> <br />And then you come and see me be <br />In a land that is but imaginary <br />Maybe the scars are my minds own <br />And nothing in this nest has already flown. <br /> <br /> <br />June 3,2005<br /><br />anasuya balla<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/nothing-in-this-nest-has-already-flown/
