anticipation <br /> <br />today my daddy is coming to see me <br />As I sit on the rock of heart felt gestures <br />peering in the wind of pain <br /> <br />Why does he not come. Its my birthday. <br />The quietness stands still <br />The question lingers in the air. <br /> <br />Daddy doesn't love me. He doesn't remember me <br />I need a daddy who does <br />I'm too guarded in this quest <br />Too dissappointed to really believe. <br /> <br />Father do you want a relationship with me? No! ! ! ! ! ! <br /> <br />But, dad I love you. I love you too. But at this point the answer is no. <br />Tears sweep the crevisis of my face. I wanted to believe in you I need a daddy who cares. Not just a daddy who says he loves. Love is action. I wanted to be loved. The kind of love that sits me down and says I care. <br /> <br />Dad, I wanted to please you. I wanted to have you believe in me. <br /> <br />Not say I love you but, I do not care...... <br /> <br />The father wound continues for another generation.
