Gazing at the stars, <br />my heart broken to the core. <br />For once I fell in love, <br />like no other time before. <br /> <br />I met him from the mountains, <br />just texted and window based. <br />The butterflies set in, <br />and with such beauty he was graced. <br /> <br />With kindness and a voice, <br />she patched up every sore. <br />Was it meant to be, <br />as it's never been before? <br /> <br />Hand in hand, we walked, <br />my faith to him I swore. <br />As we kissed that first sweet time, <br />we melted upon the floor. <br /> <br />Lots of hurdles came, <br />with those came the pain. <br />But after all that we'd endured, <br />one fact remains the same. <br /> <br />Seasons spend together, <br />we broke apart and drifted away. <br />The fact remains the same, I still love him. <br />Forever and ever more. <br /> <br />I pray that he'll come back, <br />I hope I'm in his mind. <br />So much I want to share, <br />I don't care if love is blind. <br /> <br />As he drifts away, there's nothing more, <br />I want more to feel. <br />His love again, <br />As I've never felt before.<br /><br />Valerie Anderson<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/never-before/
