Last night they talked about it. <br />We all prayed so hard it hurt! <br />I guess it worked cause out my door <br />there's not a speck of dirt! <br /> <br />The snow has buried everything <br />that once was in our yard. <br />Our dog gets lost when he goes out. <br />(Perhaps we prayed too hard!) <br /> <br />Michigan and snow days........ <br />the two go hand in hand. <br />We went to sleep while God was making <br /> his winter wonderland. <br /> <br />We watch the list of closings <br />with eager little eyes. <br />Then finally.......... they said our school! <br />Oh you should hear their cries! <br /> <br />The whoops and hollars fill the house <br />cause now we're all awake. <br />Let's hop into our snowsuits. <br />There is so much we can make! <br /> <br />The snow forts and the snowmen <br />will now occupy our day. <br />There's really nothing better <br />than a Michigan Snow Day!<br /><br />Mary Nagy<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/michigan-snow-day/
