I visualize a voyage into infinite space, <br />Along with a spaceship and you, <br />Travelling hyperspeed, we would happily race, <br />A Comet, for the fun of the 'new'! <br /> <br />We would take a swift glance at vast Jupiter, <br />Perhaps stop for a picnic on Mars, <br />I certainly wouldn't worry, I'd know where we were, <br />By studying the formation of Stars. <br /> <br />With a stop off on Saturn, to study the views, <br />Then a visit to a Galaxy's expanse, <br />The whole spectacle, would sweep, away any blues, <br />And leave our keen minds in a trance. <br /> <br />The sun would shine brightly, a fab sight to see, <br />And lighten our excursion, for sure, <br />Away in this Universe, we'd feel oh so free. <br />What a wonderful way, to explore. <br /> <br />The Moon would glow softly, as we ended our trip, <br />Lighting our way home, to our beds, <br />To wearily climb down from our super spaceship, <br />With such heavenly dreams, in our heads.<br /><br />Ernestine Northover<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/heavenly-dreams/
