The wife has just left me <br />the dog had just died <br />she wasn't upset <br />and I wasn't surprised <br />she sold the house <br />and I rented a flat <br />I guess now I'm gone <br />she won't want me back <br /> <br />She hit the bank account <br />I hit the wine <br />she wanted divorced <br />from that pig and that swine <br />she wanted freedom <br />I felt I was trapped <br />I'm sure now I'm gone <br />she won't want me back <br /> <br />She changed her lifestyle <br />I sold my car <br />she waltzed with the in crowd <br />I sat at the bar <br />she got promoted <br />I took in a cat <br />I think now I'm gone <br />she won't want me back <br /> <br />She goes out riding <br />I walk the streets <br />she has friends to dinner <br />I avoid meat <br />I feel I'm still lucky <br />a shirt on my back <br />I couldn't afford her <br />I don't want her back.<br /><br />Charles M.
