Would that I could <br />Break from this gray <br />This changable mass <br />This lump of clay <br />This body-costume, unzipped <br />I'd cast it away <br />To step out in wonder <br />In purest form <br />Hummingbird warm <br />A glowing white <br />A pulsing light <br />To recoil in awe <br />Then spring up into night <br />And find my place <br />In spiralling flight <br />Beyond the clouds <br />That ease apart <br />To open my heart <br />And hold hands with the stars <br />To shed myself <br />These comfortable scars <br />WIthout this tongue <br />I'd sing right aong <br />Without these eyes <br />My sight would stretch far <br />Past the vastness <br />Black purple blue <br />A buzzing essence <br />To embrace the moon <br />I'd touch God's face <br />And remember you<br /><br />Tara Crown<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/bursting/
