I dreameth one day on crusade <br />an angel came to me and say <br />dear knight in armour strong and proud <br />with flags and ribbons cast aloud <br />what loves ye most as ye ride on <br />with all your glitter in the sun <br />as ye approach the holy land <br />be it god or be it man <br />or be it riches that ye seek <br />as ye are tortured by the heat <br />perhaps ye favour fame and land <br />but here ye will find only sand <br />and fame well no one speaks your name <br />what love of that in knightly reign <br />surely ye dont think of man <br />for even I wont understand <br />therefore brave knight it must be god <br />of that of ye I must applaud <br />then the angel disappeared <br />and I rode on with no more fear.<br /><br />Sir Knight of words<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/an-angel-dream/
