When I wake up in the morning, <br />I want to hear your beautiful voice, <br />Only the radio alarm makes me realize, <br />that my other half is missing from my world. <br /> <br />You bestowed so much love and affection, <br />that you became the other half of mine, <br />For thirty some inseparable years, <br />we were each others heart and mind. <br /> <br />Your call to the pearly gates of the heaven came too early, <br />no one could save you from the dreaded heart attack, <br />I watched in deep sorrow and pain, <br />my other half vanishing before my eyes on the banks of river Ganges. <br /> <br />There is lingering emptiness in my heart, <br />I try to find my missing half anywhere I could, <br />Sometimes I see you in the waves of the ocean, <br />other times I see you smiling in my garden with roses. <br /> <br />You were a shadow of my self, <br />Now I can't find that shadow even in the midday Sun, <br />However I see that shadow in the full Moon, <br />smiling at me and filling my empty heart with love divine.<br /><br />Jay P Narain<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-missing-half/
