We have to pass through here
Everytime we go to grandma's side,
The ghetto gives us all a scare,
But still, we continue to ride.

We make sure to get up at dawn,
So we can leave early to go,
And we ride throughout the morn,
Taking it easy, taking it slow.

It won't be long 'til we get out of here,
But it's okay, it's still afternoon,
The end of this hell must be near
And we'll be by grandma soon.

Me and Mom hold hands tight,
And look up to God in the sky,
Because now it's turning night
And we pray that we don't die.

K.
