I look at all this art <br />At the local gallery <br />I wonder how someone <br />Could sell a painting <br />For $2,500 <br />It had just splashes of paint <br />Here and there <br />I think the canvas <br />Probably cost $50.00 tops <br />And the paint was maybe <br />$30.00 <br />And then I wondered <br />How many hours it took <br />To splash paint on it <br />And who is to say <br />That your splashing <br />Is better than someone else’s? <br />I look at all this art <br />At the local gallery <br />And wonder.<br /><br />Connie Webb<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/art-5/
