While some believe they need a title <br />to make their poetry ignite, <br />I find the first line to be vital <br />in every wordsong that I write, <br />and once my thoughts have been composed <br />and I have harvested confusion, <br />I try to keep the sense enclosed <br />by rounding it with a conclusion. <br />The first line is what has to burst <br />before the miscellaneous <br />ideas emerge quite unrehearsed, <br />in spondee sport spontaneous <br />with sparks that all have been ignited, <br />don’t know how or when or where, <br />in grey matter that benighted <br />glows once it can inspire air.<br /><br />gershon hepner<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/first-line/
