Once a month, <br />regular as clockwork, <br />a fury, greater than all the World’s storms, <br />is unleashed, upon poor, innocent folk. <br />Torrents of hot air tear you apart, and lash <br />at everything around you, too. Eventually, <br />things are being uprooted and flung in your direction. <br />Try as you might, there is little, or no, protection. <br />After much noise, destruction and upset, comes silence. <br />A silence to which you are unsure of how to react. <br />Is it over? <br />Or are you in the eye of the storm? <br />You move to appease the situation, <br />only to find yourself rained upon. <br />Floods of heavy tears falling, almost apologetically. <br />You are drawn to offer comfort but as you move nearer, <br />lightning flashes violently, striking you down. <br />You cower in fear, terrified that whatever you say, or do, <br />may light the fuse to this hormonal bomb facing you. <br />You decide that the best action is to leave well alone, <br />and go out to the pub for few.<br /><br />Dan Brown<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/u-f-o-undeniably-frightening-ovulation/
