Stood on the side lines, <br />watching life pass me by. <br />Then you walked on past, <br />and really caught my eye. <br /> <br />Willing to risk the pain again, <br />instead of regreting the could of been. <br />so why cant we get together, <br />and venture into the unforseen. <br /> <br />Unknown on where we are going, <br />or for how far it goes. <br />So I pull out a flower, <br />A single dark red rose. <br /> <br />Another small token I'll give you, <br />a piece of my glowing heart. <br />Now we are together, <br />even when apart. <br /> <br />We couldn't spend much time together. <br />from the very begining. <br />but to show my feelings <br />I'll give you this dimond ring. <br /> <br />I still feel the same <br />Ten years on. <br />With only one difference, <br />all the pain has gone. <br /> <br />I wake up on my bed, <br />it must of all been a dream. <br />I'm staring at the ceiling, <br />and questioning what does it mean?<br /><br />Kev Elmer<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-dream-10/
