Cars speeding in each direction
Some are busy, Some are late
Some are new kids giveing rich impressons
Some are white knuckle deamons filled with resentment and hate

A white child with rap music poisening the air
A black man is bobbing his head and driveing without care
Bushy bloude dogs, with swimming hair
Old groggy men driveing more then 15 MPH, This is quite rare

And while the lights are down
You can still hear the engines and loud sounds
Of cars driveing into the background
Some have smiles, Some have frowns

Men on bikes, as there girlfriends try to hold on
Men in suits, blareing sad sad songs
Men yell if another man takes too long
Men might kill if you take a turn that is wrong

The streetlights appear like drops of rain
Some people drive by, They look so tried and drained
Some drive by and look completly insane
Mild and sickend because the roads have left them daranged

I sit near a dairy queen
Watching people drive by, near and between
Some filthy hearted, Some are clean
Some have clean hands, Some have rings
Some listen to the radio, Some are proud enough to sing

As I get up to walk home
Holding no hands, All alone
I reliaze why i come to this same place everyday
Becuase for one secoud, All my problams go away
I sit here and stare
With out reason or care
All my life I've been told
To stay inside and out of the cold
But the outside world seems to be
So open and So very free

Ray Mesa

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/reflections-of-a-busy-street/
