I lay my head on the pillow, <br />The pillow that is filled <br />With my tears, <br />My shattered dreams... <br /> <br />I cover my body with a white sheet, <br />Probably the sheet <br />I will be buried with, <br />No coffin... <br /> <br />I lay my thoughts in the arms of dreams, <br />Beautiful dreams or nightmares, <br />Flying lines of dust or <br />Crumbling spheres of water, <br />Wind or stillness, <br />Water or fire... <br /> <br />They will keep me company <br />Throughout the night, <br />Dreams will fill my mind, <br />As you fill my heart! <br /> <br />I lay my head on my hope, <br />The hope that I’ll see you soon, <br />With tears in your eyes, <br />You’ll come back... <br /> <br />©Elya Thorn.
