I Am A Myriad Of Emotion <br />by Barbara Lynn Terry <br /> <br />I lie on my bed crying, <br />For nothing it seems, <br />But as I see the bright, sunny day, <br />I just bury my head in my shameless way, <br />And cry, cry, cry. <br /> <br />Forced by the urge to eat, <br />I rise from my bed, <br />Then stumble to my feet. <br />I pad off to the fridge, <br />For a slice of jelly bread, <br />While talking on the phone, <br />To cancel a game of bridge. <br /> <br />Then my baby cries and I run to see, <br />That she is fine just needs a change, <br />So I take her downstairs with me, <br />Relieved that that is done for now. <br /> <br />I seethe with anger when I see, <br />The mess they have left for me, <br />In the sink, on the table and the floor. <br />So I just sigh and open the door, <br />And then I am not so angry anymore, <br />As I listen to a robin's song, <br />While I work my female magic, <br />To make my house sparkle and shine, <br />Because tonight I will love, <br />The man that is mine.<br /><br />Barbara Lynn Terry<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-am-a-myriad-of-emotion/
