We Stood Outside In The Rain <br />by Barbara Lynn Terry <br />Tuesday, April 05,2005 <br /> <br />Just a little wishful thinking, although I wouldn't mind it a bit (giggles) ... <br /> <br />It was the fairest of days, and we smiled, <br />In our embrace of love's sweet bliss, <br />Our emotions running wild, <br />As I listened to him affirm that I am his. <br /> <br />He kissed me on my ruby lips, <br />His strong hands at my hips, <br />Holding me close with a tender touch, <br />While whispering love's sweet words so much, <br />That while we did not have a care attained, <br />The weather became uncertain as it began to rain. <br /> <br />We stood there in each other's embrace, <br />And didn't care that we should race, <br />Inside the house to get away, <br />From the downpour of Heaven's tears. <br /> <br />So we kissed and embraced again, <br />While we stood outside in the rain <br /> <br />© 2005 by Barbara Lynn Terry<br /><br />Barbara Lynn Terry<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/we-stood-outside-in-the-rain/
