For my new poetic friend - a special man I've met not so long ago, <br />- a tall, lean man with a wonderful smile - I see it - you must know. <br />I hope you smile when you read my poor prose, <br />and when I ask you to write too - there'll be no 'no's. <br /> <br />You've bought back fun and laughter to me <br />and inspired me to once again write poetry. <br />I hope that I am complimenting your life too, <br />and that you are no longer feeling so 'blue'. <br /> <br />I love to see the cheeky look and twinkle in your eyes, <br />it tells a lot about you - more than you would realize. <br />Your chuckles are great, and most infectious, <br />and leaves me feeling young and impetuous. <br /> <br />Your appreciation of nature and of the spoken word <br />is yet to be bettered by none that I have heard - <br />well.... other than Wordworth, Shakespeare, Browning, <br />and Barrett - so begin the writing, and quit the frowning. <br /> <br />Nothing would give me more pleasure to see <br />you open your mind to your gifts, and let them be <br />visible for this sometimes shallow world to view - <br />and to know and understand the real quality of you. <br /> <br />Colleen Wright.<br /><br />Colleen Wright<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-new-poetic-friend/
