*This poem is for all people who are/have been victims of bullying.* <br /> <br />I am the lonely little kid in the corner who gets picked on every day. <br />I wonder: What have I done to deserve this pain? <br />I hear their laughter, their calls of 'fag' and 'retard'; <br />I see them giggling, whispering, flashing their cruel smiles. <br />I want a friend who will truly love and understand me. <br />I am the lonely little kid in the corner who gets picked on every day. <br /> <br />I pretend their attacks are meaningless, but in truth they hurt like poisonous stings. <br />I feel their words scalding my heart like snake venom. <br />I touch packs of ice to the livid bruises left by their fists. <br />I worry that their cruelty will grow still worse. <br />I cry for all the friendless, bullied children in the world... <br />I am the lonely little kid in the corner who gets picked on every day. <br /> <br />I understand not why they always treat me like this. <br />I say to them, 'Please stop, ' but they never listen. <br />I dream every night about them pursuing me like packs of wolves. <br />I try hard to ignore their endless taunts and jeers. <br />I hope someday they will all see that I'm not as bad as they think. <br />I am the lonely little kid in the corner who gets picked on every day.<br /><br />Kimberly Kastner<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-am-bullied-child/
