Sides come together in a fury of battle cries <br /> <br />On one side, she sits, and forgives <br />The evils that have been done to her <br />She’s on her knees <br />And hopelessly prays <br />She then stands <br />And though forbidden to leave <br />She picks up her sword <br />She mounts her horse <br />Only she knows the real reason they fight <br />She has the gift and curse of foresight <br />And so she will end it tonight, or give up her life <br /> <br />He ruthlessly fights on the other side <br />And unlike her, he doesn’t know why <br />He simply fights to quench his lust, and because they tell him <br />In his heart and mind, bloodlust consumes him <br />He kills because it’s all he knows <br />And from the corner of his eye, he sees her <br />High on her black stallion, she rides by <br />He is mesmerized, turns his horse and follows <br />Through the trees, across the creek <br />And she turned to face him <br /> <br />Surprised by what she say, who is he <br />A different kind of man, her supposed enemy <br />But why was he here know <br />Staring back at her, she met his intense black eyes <br />He met hers back, and she knew <br />She felt it in his energy <br />He was meant to be at her side <br /> <br />Stunned by her as she turned <br />Her aura shinning brightly <br />Green eyes mesmerizing <br />He wasn’t sure why he followed her <br />She didn’t seem like a hostile enemy <br />He was supposed to be there <br />And when he met her eyes, he felt her need <br /> <br />And he took her among the trees <br />And he loved her passionately <br />And for a few moments they were free <br /> <br />Now they fight together <br />To unite both sides <br />They’ll always be fighting for victory <br />But for each other they will be living <br />And at the end they shall both succeed <br />As long as they both continue to breathe<br /><br />Guarded Heart<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/as-long-as-they-both-breathe/
