I'm going to tell you a story about a very strong woman <br />She took lies and abuse from her violent, drunk husband <br /> <br />He controlled her every emotion and made her very wary <br />She constantly tred on egg-shells, this was more than scary <br /> <br />She was always to blame; he says she drove him to it <br />She couldn't help but believe him, maybe thats why she got hit <br /> <br />He covered her with bruises; which were sometimes easily noticed <br />She knew herself what they were but told her friends to take no notice <br /> <br />He always started the arguments and then they would begin to fight <br />At the end he'd walk out, only to be expected back later that night <br /> <br />Anxiously she would wait for him, knowing what was going to happen <br />She would feel sick to her stomach, she knew she would get a bashing <br /> <br />Suddenly she would hear the door slam and run for a place to hide <br />She knew he would be looking for her, she couldn't help but break down and cry <br /> <br />Her children were terrified of him; they regularly saw what he would do <br />He would say that she was crazy; they knew he wasn't telling the truth <br /> <br />She tried her hardest to protect them, even if it put her in danger <br />They were always on her side, to them he was nothing but a stranger <br /> <br />Was this going to be her life?
