Always remember things <br />Can be sung <br />In different runes. <br />Like this isn't a cotton field, <br />It's pollen from the moons. <br /> <br />And that wasn't a rainbow, <br />Swivelling <br />Above our trails, <br />That was God's licorice stick, <br />Stretching past the dales. <br /> <br />This isn't the night dusking, <br />Husking <br />The sunny fade. <br />Just the lights dimming <br />For the starry-light parade. <br /> <br />That isn't a wolf's howling, <br />Prowling <br />Into the shade, <br />Just a lone trumpet <br />For this band's serenade. <br /> <br />Those aren't moths flying, <br />Spying <br />Through your drapes, <br />Just fussy butterflies <br />Donning vintage capes. <br /> <br />The wind isn't moaning, <br />Groaning <br />Some spooky song. <br />It just hears the owl's ballad <br />And wants to sing along. <br /> <br />This isn't a creepy lurching, <br />Searching <br />Into the fogs. <br />Just a hymn rehearsal <br />From a choiring of frogs. <br /> <br />And those aren't phantoms clicking, <br />Ticking <br />To Halloweens, <br />Just little cricket limbs <br />Shaking their tamberines. <br /> <br />This isn't a lullaby, <br />I'm singing <br />Into your ear. <br />Just a tiny, simple song <br />To path you out of fear.<br /><br />K.
