Jim said he'd take her for a stroll. <br />Then they'd have tea and toad-in-the-hole, <br />But they wouldn't let him out on parole, <br />So he never did! <br /> <br />Jo said they'd both go to the park, <br />Have a kiss and have a lark, <br />But he lost her there, out in the dark, <br />So he never did! <br /> <br />James said he'd hire a limousine, <br />And take her up to Aberdeen, <br />But he ended up somewhere, in between, <br />So he never did! <br /> <br />John said he'd buy her a lovely mink, <br />Gosh, she thought, I'm in the pink, <br />But it was a skunk.
