It loomed, harangued in the skies, <br />In his vast mirrors cast, <br />He wore a mask of jewelled eyes, <br />That shone an odd revenge lifelast. <br /> <br />A transfixed stare at a Clockwork Christ, <br />By the baneful sanctuary's sage, <br />Over lengthening scars of nothing and age, <br />That flipped from page to page. <br /> <br />In his world, he is cold, outlawed, <br />No one knows his troubles but God. <br />Whipped relentlessly with an arctic tongue, <br />Over and over, the same old song. <br /> <br />The nocturne of the night <br />The last night of life, <br />He held the beast in his heart, <br />The skies darken <br />With a last flash of light, <br />The oceans rent apart. <br /> <br />He cried out to God, <br />Roared, <br />Like a dying beast, <br />A muffled noise <br />Soon deceased. <br /> <br />I went into his room, <br />His haunting tomb. <br />And I dove back to bed, <br />My brother was dead.<br /><br />K.
