Some people try to own you, <br />To desecrate your worth - <br />They mess with your identity, <br />Your given right by birth; <br /> <br />They make you question what you know <br />For sure - they make you doubt <br />Your honor and integrity - <br />So what's that all about? <br /> <br />There are those whose lives are dull, <br />Depressing, sad and lonely, <br />They leach onto a rising star - <br />Profess to love you only, <br /> <br />But soon you start to question <br />Just what their issues are - <br />Encouragement or ownership? <br />They push you just too far; <br /> <br />Their constant negativity <br />Begins to suck you dry, <br />And all the wonder that you are <br />Will slowly start to die; <br /> <br />Wake up!
