The wind it howls like a foxes call, then all of a sudden <br />the rain starts to fall. Wind and rain they nearly <br />always come together, but there is'nt a soul that <br />can sort out the weather. <br />When winter comes the wind can nip with a frosty bite <br />and those are the days, when the rain stays out of sight. <br />The wind brings blizzards that form drifts of snow <br />causing hazardous driving and tales of woe <br />Freezing cold nights and mornings of frost. <br />Farmers out looking for lambs that are lost <br />Snow on the ground all wet and damp, chilled to the bone <br />and toes with cramp. <br />Up goes the temprature and down comes the rain <br />The snow disappears but the wind gets up again. <br />Heading down the chimney with an horrendous howl <br />then enters your house like a ghost on the prowl. <br />Rain now falling like soldiers at war as the wind <br />forces them into battle so down come more; then <br />up comes a storm like never before. <br />New doors open as spring starts to arrive. <br />Daffodils growing but how do they survive. <br />When March winds blow like bats out of hell does this <br />spring time weather have a fairy like spell. <br />Plenty of rain and and plenty of green; <br />but no thunder and lighting which is a rare spring scene, <br />so we move on to the summer where a storm can be mean. <br />Hurrican forced winds whipped up by the warm air, high tides <br />and floods coming up from nowhere. <br />Autumn comes, but the wind never rests, blowing leaves to <br />the ground and all around looks depressed. <br />November and December so damp and cold, another year <br />gone but the wind and rain they never grow old. <br />The wind and rain are part of our weather but as time fades <br />away they will be here forever.<br /><br />sylvia spencer<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/another-year-gone/
