In the jungle, the lions roar.
There are not any pigs, but there are wild boar.
Cheetahs run from dawn to dusk,
As elephants show off their ivory tusks.
Deer sip water and buffalo roam.
This is where monkeys make their home.
Snakes crawl, rattle and hiss.
The grizzly bears, you do not want to miss.
The elk like to play with the moose.
The ducks are just hanging loose.
Possums play dead and skylarks fly,
As the sunlight fills up the morning sky.

Jeff Fleischer

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-jungle/
