What's your score <br />Asked Mathilda Alore <br />She is my friend <br />With fingers that would'nt bend <br />I said it was nineteen out of twenty <br />She did think it was plenty <br />She said her score was seventeen out of twenty <br />And she said that was'nt plenty <br />I said why don't we go for a picnic <br />But please don't invite Trikwic <br />Because he is so mischievous <br />And he takes jokes to be serious <br />But when I went inside the camping tent <br />I saw that Mathilda's back got bend <br />Now we could'nt run and play <br />Or even spend our day <br />Today we would'nt be able to have fun <br />Although it was bright with the sun <br />I took her to the hospital <br />On my red bicycle <br />I saw a basket filled with yarn <br />The doctor said she should'nt play, darn <br />One day she turned up at the door of my house <br />And screamed when she saw a tiny little mouse <br />I and my sister chased after the mouse <br />And broke almost everything inside the house <br />The mouse quickly ran away <br />But it did'nt matter any way <br />Mathilda suggested we play the game 'truth' <br />She said it will help our nerves soothe <br />I did'nt think the game was so good <br />So we went inside to have our food <br />We had pastries, biscuits, chips and buns <br />We watched cricket and how they made runs <br />Then it was time for her to go back <br />She wore her shoes kept on the shoe rack <br />And we said good bye to each other <br />I watched her go back with her mother <br />Life with Mathilda is very fun <br />Usually when we are playing in the sun <br />Sometimes she can get too rude <br />When she is in a very bad mood.<br /><br />Risha Ahmed (12 yrs)<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/058-me-and-my-friend-mathilda/
