Dear Lord, I have some questions for which I need to know <br />the answers have been weighing on my mind, I'm sure it shows. <br /> <br />Are you truly in Heaven? Is there really such a place? <br />Are you watching my adventures while I'm finding my own space? <br /> <br />I so often have to wonder, do you hear my silent cries? <br />Who am I to think you love me? Is it all a pack of lies? <br /> <br />When I'm left to sit and ponder all the thoughts I have on you <br />I can't help search for answers...how am I to know what's true? <br /> <br />Do you hear me when I whimper as I lie in bed awake? <br />Do you see me lose my temper when I've had all I can take? <br /> <br />Is it you that soothes my wounded soul each time I see myself? <br />Could it be true what is written in the books upon my shelf? <br /> <br />Just wash away my doubt and cleanse me with your truth. <br />Dear Lord, you've been so silent as I've left behind my youth. <br /> <br />Though life at times seems hectic and I wonder if you're there <br />I hold on to the thought that there's at least one soul who'll care. <br /> <br />Forgive me when I doubt you and I try to see things clear. <br />Please Lord, renew my faith in you....just let me know you're here.<br /><br />Mary Nagy<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/wash-away-my-doubt/
