When i was young i was free of heart...
Had no commitments fro' thee to depart.

When i was younger i was glad for holidays spent freely away fro' school...
In reality's sake i was merely a fool.

Had i known better at that younger years of mine....
I'd have spent more time at my schoolastic studies fine.

When forced to do what we wish not to do...
Later we realize in life that we were mentally deficient and smartness for us would soon one day be way over due.

Years of learning and experience is a wake up call just waiting to catch up with me...
When i come to realize this day- All the lessons were wasted to me.

Now and again i realize a fact...
Lessons of yester year were hard to catch and hold onto.

Those hours misspent on idle time...
Should by today's standards of man's judgement of crime.

How may man make up for lost time? ...
Go back in time and do it all over the correct way.

Just so later he may change his way...
Then for the morrow he'd have a much better improved new day today.

Time travel would allow for better times ahead...
Later on in time you'd want to live better and not end up dead.

Changes of the times...
Removes from your life days filled only with lemons and limes.

Sugar and spice and nothing nice...
Use your time real well-That's my only smartish advice.

That is all to you that i may wish to tell to make you wisely
wiser of time.

Michael Gale

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/to-be-younger-than-young-and-free-er-at-heart-an/
