My son, my son. <br />Where have you gone? <br />I've looked all over, <br />But can't seem to find you. <br />Your mother and I miss you, <br />So much you'll never know. <br />We keep a room for you, <br />Though you'll never see it. <br />I do everything now, <br />I need your help. <br />Every night your mother cries for you, <br />Her pillow soaked with tears. <br />I dreamed the other night, <br />That you did come back. <br />That you ended our pain. <br />But to try to make that dream real, <br />Will only cause more pain. <br />I am constantly reminded of the past. <br />Every day it hits me, <br />Like the winds of a tornado. <br />For now I just have to move on, <br />Waiting 'till I see you again.<br /><br />Christopher Holden<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-son-my-son/
