Bad news came my way once again today. <br />A young friend of Mom’s passed away. <br />It’s something we come to expect now the <br />years are flying by, old age is upon us. <br />Sadness still reigns in our hearts, saying <br />good-by when our dear friends depart. <br /> <br />Tonight was an evening to treasure, <br />Singing my heart out is always a pleasure. <br />Gospel music, divine way to praise the Lord, <br />sisters and brothers, coming on board. <br /> <br />Tomorrow morning, Sa-tur-day, <br />My favourite time to play. <br />Writing poems, songs, little Haiku’s <br />awaiting your usual reviews. <br /> <br />Tomorrow night is Gospel night. <br />Now we see if we get it right. <br />We’ve practiced over and over again. <br />Love to see you there my good friends. <br /> <br />I sit pondering, in my euphoric state. <br />Gazing yonder, shadows of heavens gate. <br />Picturesque images grace my mind, <br />Embraced by the space of time. <br /> <br />Nov.3/06<br /><br />Melvina Germain<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/180-pondering/
