This lonely little planet <br />In the infinite sea of night <br />Shivers in the darkness <br />Waiting for the warmth of light; <br /> <br />It seems to be forgotten <br />Left out there all alone - <br />Bravely now it struggles <br />Like a child left on his own; <br /> <br />Is anybody listening? <br />Does anybody care? <br />The fear is overwhelming <br />And it's cracking everywhere; <br /> <br />Maybe God is testing it <br />Giving it a chance <br />To find an answer to its plight <br />To change its circumstance; <br /> <br />What will be the outcome? <br />Will this Earth survive? <br />Is it just a dying star <br />Or will it stay alive? <br /> <br />The time has come to lend a hand <br />To save this precious star, <br />Bring peace and love together <br />And be proud of who we are. <br /> <br />Appreciate this Mother's love <br />That shelters us from harm, <br />Provides our food and sustenance <br />To keep us safe and warm; <br /> <br />Stop taking it for granted <br />That this Earth will always be, <br />It could all be gone tomorrow - <br />Now it's up to you and me.<br /><br />Linda Ori<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-time-is-now-4/
