Deep in the heart of Simcoe lake, <br />upon waters mirroring reflective views, <br />a single boat cuts the mirror glass, <br />like the cutter the jeweler would use. <br /> <br />And in this boat, two sail away, <br />in search of an island off the shore, <br />the thoughts of picnic's vast array, <br />and afternoon's feast of evermore. <br /> <br />Whilst upon this boat of small mass, <br />the two did see the falcons fly, <br />and nest upon the whisking winds, <br />in graceful motion climbing so high <br /> <br />The ever movement mimics swans dance, <br />and the moment brings sweet caress, <br />the clear blue day of summers delight, <br />is in need of a sandy beach's rest...............<br /><br />Geoff Warden<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/upon-still-waters/
