My head is in a place that I just don’t like <br />It’s lost and alone and it doesn’t feel right <br />From time to time I cry out loud and fall on bended knee <br />Searching for a little something to put my soul at ease <br /> <br />Lately I can’t stand myself no matter what I do <br />It seems my life is empty but I know it isn’t true <br />I want to be there for you, this I do pray <br />To be there as your friend I guess is what I want to say <br /> <br />I’ve done all I can I think of just to let you know <br />That you’re the special someone I really want to know <br />Please God help her, and tell her how I feel <br />Tell her I love her and I want to make it real <br /> <br />Give her some direction to help her through the strife <br />Let her know she’s special and that she must live HER life <br />But also speak of me I pray cuz you know I really care <br />This thing that we’re going through, my heart is in despair <br /> <br />Let her know I love her no matter what she’s heard before <br />That I think about her, to not would be obscure <br />You’re on my mind a lot these days I just hope you know <br />My love for you was never lost just hidden by the haze <br /> <br />That’s all I want in life right now is just to set and talk <br />Maybe if you wanted we might even take a walk <br />No matter what we do or say I just got to speak my peace <br />This short journey we’re on called life is really just a lease!<br /><br />Tim Rawson<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/give-me-a-chance-4/
