i am a nameless solider, <br />buried in a shallow, <br />nameless grave, <br />i live in the nameless country, <br />in a nameless town, <br />i used to walk upon the nameless streets. <br /> <br />i am now here, <br />because of this pointless war, <br />and here i shall remain, <br />forever more. <br /> <br />i used to have a name, <br />and a family, <br />i cant remember now, <br />its just to blurry to see, <br />i cant remember, <br />my childrens names, <br />i know though, <br />that i am nameless, <br />forever and a day <br /> <br />i dont know alot, <br />but i know, <br />how i got here, <br />i was a troop, <br />working for my country, <br />protecting many families, <br />i remember my death, <br />i remember my pain, <br />i know how it hurt, <br />all because of his stupid game <br /> <br />he toyed with many lives, <br />when i was around, <br />hes not around for much longer, <br />i think hes stepping down, <br />sometimes i wonder, <br />why did i have to die, <br />i was only 29, <br />why did it have to happen to me? <br /> <br />i am now here, <br />because of this pointless war, <br />and here i shall remain, <br />forever more.<br /><br />Jess Terry<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/nameless-man/
