Mountains of forest far beyond the eye can see, <br />Forest undergrowth surviving to be free. <br />Sassafras, willi-pilli entertwined in glee, <br />This jungle of trees survival in melee. <br /> <br />One tree survived, the other to provide, <br />Life to each own these trees of varied kind, <br />The fight for life yet providing still with pride <br />Standing side by side yet different in its kind. <br /> <br />Wonder how they survived this jungle kind of life, <br />Canopy of trees and a fern-like undergrowth <br />Its shadows overlap yet more of bushes thrived, <br />The awesome sight the forest do imbibed. <br /> <br />Three-headed shape mountains leaning side by side, <br />Overlooking mountain range expanse so ever wide <br />An ownership reclaimed the wind does still proclaim, <br />A throne of three the ranges do decree. <br /> <br />The soft laughing sound of waterfalls below, <br />Bouncing up to touch the elusive human toe <br />Suspended in space, the mind is floating too <br />Canopies look up images of green smiling glow. <br /> <br />Up here, different nooks of the world <br />A gaze below and beyond new horizons unfurled, <br />Social distinction like canopies beyond <br />An undergrowth in unity, survival has been won.<br /><br />Jona PoloRamirez<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/blue-mountains-of-katoomba/
