Poor old Cracker stands all alone cold, hungry <br />and chilled to the bone, in a muddy medow <br />that is now his home.This chestnut brown horse <br />was once the pride of the race course, with his <br />jockey on his back galloping round the racing track. <br />They say old Cracker was the favourite in a big race <br />but after a stewards enquiry he was disqualified, <br />and that was followed by disgrace.His jockey thought <br />that he was ill but after testing they found that he had <br />been doped with some sort of pill. <br />Cracker Jack this poor old horse once the pride of the <br />Antree course, just went to pieces and full of remorse. <br />He had done nothing it was not his fault it was the <br />underworld who tamper with the racing sport. <br />Cracker was sad he loved to race but the Jockeys <br />Club said no he was a horse that the field would not <br />face. <br />He was sold at auction to a riding school but the riders <br />could not keep up with the horses pull, he was bred to jump <br />over hedge and fence so therefore his riders had no defence. <br />One day out riding along the track he threw his rider who <br />injured his back. Crackers pace was to fast for the riding <br />school so he was sold again because he couldn't succume <br />to their rule. <br />From pillar to post this old horse was sent and trouble followed <br />him where ever he went. Shoved in a stable with nowhere to <br />race with his body and life now in total disgrace. <br />A once great race horse with no one at his side, perhaps it <br />would be better if he just laid down and died.
