How can you not believe in God? <br /> <br />See, me and my God, <br />for my God is different <br />from yours, have an understanding... <br />You don't ask me for money and <br />demand that I take the Good Book <br />in its very unintended 'literal' terms <br />and I won't expect you to change <br />something that was already fated <br />or blame you <br />when something goes terribly wrong, <br />especially when it was my fault <br />to begin with. <br /> <br />BUT <br />I will respect YOU <br />and strive to forever be <br />a better person <br />and You continue <br />to give me beautiful sunrises <br />and majestic sunsets, <br />which will remind me everyday <br />to appreciate being alive. <br /> <br />After all, <br />who else would be capable <br />of orchestrating <br />such masterful events? ? <br /> <br />(Dedicated to my husband, who has been denying God for the wrong reasons.)<br /><br />Lee Degnan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/belief-15/
