Oh Christmas tree we put you up, <br />with lots of sparkle, and loven dust. <br />You stand so tall, we feel so small, <br />that the gifts will come in you we trust. <br /> <br />The children have been jolly and so good, <br />and done their chores like they should. <br />The long socks are full and so is the list, <br />parents up til 3, to check nothing is missed. <br /> <br />Woke to the sound of happiness, at 4 in the morning, <br />kids excited running, jumping, laughing and smiling.. <br />Now tearing the wrapping off, to get to their new toy, <br />Oh 'Christmas tree' thank you, you bring such joy.<br /><br />David Darbyshire<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/christmas-tree-5/
